Developmental editing begins after your third draft. I will work with you to make sure that the plot and characters are developed well and maintain their integrity throughout your work. I will make sure that the story flows well, makes sense, and give ideas and suggestions on how overall improvements can be made. Any plot holes or inconsistencies will be documented with ideas on how to fix them. This service includes a marked document with comments, an accompanying report, and a thirty minute check in call for any questions you might have after reviewing the edit.

Copy editing is where I focus on the mechanics of each sentence. This is an in-depth look at grammar and punctuation. I will go through your document and mark any areas where grammar and punctuation need adjustments with ways to revise. This service comes with a marked document with comments.

Line editing is where I focus on the beauty of the sentences, making each the best it can be. I will make sure that voice and tense are maintained throughout. Eliminating repetitive words, checking for inconsistencies, and looking at overall sentence structure is also included. I will take an in depth look at the dialogue between characters.
